House of the Card
Questions

Frequently asked

About the house

Are the games free?

Yes. They are funded by advertising, which sits in a fixed strip outside the play area and never interrupts a hand. A single one-time purchase removes ads for good if you would rather pay than watch.

Is there any real-money play or gambling?

No. There is no wagering, no cash prizes, no simulated casino, and no currency of any kind. It is a card game, not a betting product.

Which games are coming next?

Call Break is in development. After that we work from the games people actually grew up playing — write to us and tell us which one, because that genuinely affects the order.

Do you track me on this website?

No. This site has no analytics, no advertising and no cookies, which is why you were never shown a consent banner. The games are a different matter and each one says exactly what it collects.

About 29

Do I need an account?

No. You type a name on first launch and play. There is nothing to sign into, so there is also nothing to forget.

Does it work offline?

Fully. Three computer players are always available without a connection. The online modes need one, of course.

How do I play with friends?

One of you opens a private room and shares its four-letter code. The other three type it in. No links, no invites, no access to your contacts.

I paid to remove ads, then reinstalled. Where did it go?

Your purchase lives with your app-store account, not with us. Open Settings → Restore purchases and it comes back. If it doesn’t, write to us.

The app ruled a hand wrongly. Can I report it?

Please do. Email us the room code and the rough time. Every ruling maps to a numbered rule in our rules document — we will answer with the rule, or fix the bug.

Which languages does 29 speak?

English, Hindi, Bengali and Nepali. Card indices stay in Latin numerals in every language, because that is what the physical cards show.
